One of the most important aspects of a person life is education. And while primary education is very important, not every person is able to pursue higher education. One many reasons why people do not go to college is because they do not have enough resources to go to these schools. But there are also other smaller schools that can help their students overcome these obstacles. Among them includes the Felician College in New Jersey.
Felician College is a Roman Catholic college that is found in Lodi and Rutherford in the state of New Jersey. Felician College is one of the higher learning institutions that is conducted by the Felician Sisters. The school annually receives a little more than 2,500 students each term, with 2,000 of them being undergrad students. The college is located 12 miles from New York and has two campuses in the county of Bergen. This includes the Lodi campus and the Rutherford campus. The campuses are three miles apart, but the school offers a shuttle service that runs between the two locations during the day and even during the night.
The Lodi campus is known for its immense library. Their library has over 120,000 volumes, offers access to more than 40,000 electronic books, subscriptions to more than 400 periodicals, and access to more than 20,000 online serial titles. On the other side of town, the Rutherford campus is home to the Curriculum Materials Library and Technology Center in Sammartino Hall. The hall has a collection of children's literature, curriculum guides, and various other teaching materials used for kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school’s active information literacy instruction program through library liaisons begins with the Freshmen Year Experience program. The Rutherford campus is also the location of Iviswold Castle, a historic structure that is currently being restored. The Rutherford campus also features a gymnasium and a late-night coffee shop and game room.
Felician College teams participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II events. They are also a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Men's sporting events include basketball, baseball, cross country, golf and soccer; while women's sporting events include basketball, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, soccer, and softball. The school colors are green and yellow and the school nickname are the Golden Falcons.
Choosing the right school or college is a very important decision that every person has to take at some point in their life. They should also take their time and make sure that they have made the right choice before committing to any school. There are a lot of options available in each state and location, and each person can take their time in making their choice. In the end, it is each student that will benefit from their decision for the rest of their lives. Choosing Felician College can only help a student improve their life and open up new opportunities.
